You do need to start with a decent strategy, of course, and fortunately there are dozens of good, proven strategies that are freely available
...but the strategy itself does not create consistency
And yes, there is an element of psychology that comes into play
...but resolving your mental issues does not automatically turn you into a skilled, competent and consistent trader
A hugely profitable lesson from the business world and how the field of Quality Assurance came into being:
- Inconsistency is a cost that comes straight off your bottom line
- Consistency doesn't just happen
- It has to be intentionally put into place using a progression of specific steps
That's what I loved about working in Quality Assurance back when I worked in the corporate world
Quality Assurance has been proven around the world as THE method to solve the consistency problem
Quality Assurance is all about taking an activity, making it consistent, then dialing it in for performance, and then maintaining that consistency
...which is perfect for traders
